Our home is the perfect setting for an Irish/European base... it is bright, airy and very comfortable and within walking distance of Dublin City centre. Our family of four (boy and girl 10 & 7) really enjoy our life and have created a home that suits our busy lifestyle. We both work in media and are usually busy running around the country producing TV commercials of one kind or another. So on weekends we usually go for long family walks in either the Dublin/Wicklow mountains or long walks around the beautiful Irish coastline (all within 15-20 min drive).

At home the house is extremely comfortable with everything you could possible want... four bed, three bathroom with lots of glass to sit and watch the clouds go past and the light dance. Our ground floor includes our main living area that is open plan with a modern kitchen. Our kitchen is probably the most used space in our home. It is well equipped, with 2 ovens (1 Gaggenau ), 2 refrigerators, Gas countertop hob with wok ring, Kitchenaid Mixer... and our beloved Nespresso machine! The best coffee to start the day with! In the living area the sofas sit in front of the fireplace with a large log stove and plasma for cosy evenings. We have a comfy 'quiet room' for a little peaceful reading or chatting away from the kids! The kids have a playroom with all the video platforms and boardgames etc on the planet when they're indoors.

Outside our back garden is great for summer BBQ's and entertaining (we've had loads of great summer parties) and it also has a large trampoline for the kids. We also have a kayak you can use at several different lakes and rivers that are close by.

This is an incredible time to visit Ireland as it is the official 'Gathering'... a national welcome to all visitors especially the 70 million people world wide who have Irish ancestry. After hundreds of years of emigration all are being welcomed 'home'! Checkout www.thegatheringireland.com

The area is just outside the city and is a very old established area. Across the road from the house are two churches...one is a lovely Anglican church and the other is an ancient Catholic church that has stood for almost one thousand years!

Getting into the city is easy as you can either walk or cycle (30 minute walk) or get one of the many public buses that most of the locals use. One of Dublin's main parks, The Phoenix Park is also close by with lots of activities there including the National Zoo, Áras An Uachtarain (Our President's Residence) and US Ambassador's Residence. It also one of Europe's largest parks, where Deer roam freely and have done 1662. We also have four great bikes that can be used to get around if need be.

As a base, Dublin offers you a great city with wealth of history for you to explore, beautiful mountains with dozens of trails that are always a great adventure for a family, a coastline with surprisingly beautiful beaches (Ireland doesn't promote it's wonderful sandy beaches enough) and some of the best surfing in the world!!! The nightlife in Dublin is legendary and the friendly, warm and generous people cliches is very real!

Ideally we would prefer something located near the coast. We lived in CA for a number of years so are familiar with it. We are open to suggestions and really look forward to hearing from you! We will be in LA from June, so we can meet up before the exchange!

We are a family of four... Victor (dad) is a well known Irish TV actor and also owns a few media companies (We need to get him away from work for a few weeks!!). Fiona (Mom) is Director of one of those companies as well as being a busy Mom!... then we have Cameron (10) who is a future Barcelona soccer star and Isabella (7) who will unfortunatley probably be an actor like her dad! Though she says she is already a better actor (he agrees)... and he thinks a law career might be easier!

Our home represents who we are... fun, relaxed but also spotlessly clean and comfortable!
