It is always changing. What we like best is watching the kite surfers. Sometimes, it seems they are going to drop in our living-room. The other fun thing to do is watching people who stroll on the pavement, getting all wet from the waves when the tide is high.

We are very proud of our taylor-made bath made of corian.
We have two of them; the best spots to watch the sea.
It is warmer and smaller than the one in front of the apartment. All St Malo families meet there and children make sand castles or fish shrimps together.\r\n\r\nIt takes about 15min to walk there. \r\nWe will give you all our tips when you come.

The appartment stands just across the beautiful sandy beach "Plage du Sillon", and 7mn walk from the walled city of St Malo.
The property is a brand new refurbished loft in the former hall of a late XIXth century hotel. The open living area (over 100sqm and 4m ceiling-heighth) gets its light from three large windows overlooking the beach. The view is truly exceptional !
The architect (www.b-l-o-c-k.com) who designed the interior elaborated on the concept of the house within the house. The night area and the kitchen are hidden within a wooden box that closes at night with two massive 4m high doors. The finish is of very high standard with a large fully fitted kitchen designed by Boffi and taylor-made bathrooms designed by Boffi as well.
In the "night box", there are on the first floor:
- two bathrooms (fairly small - one with a shower and one with a bath)
- two double bedrooms
- a small utility room with a washing machine
- two restrooms
On the mezzanine:
- two single bedrooms
- a large room overlooking the living area, which can be used as another bedroom or office
The property is about 240sqm.
We have wireless internet available in the home.
We have two car parks (which is useful during the summer in St Malo)
There is an indoor area to leave bikes and another area to dry clothes.

The apartment is 7min walk from St Malo's old walled town, known as Intra-Muros or 'within these walls'. You can walk round the ramparts of the city’s 20-foot thick walls for one mile to get splendid views of the town and the harbour. Lower down, the city’s winding streets, reminds one of a medieval maze, where you can stumble upon quaint shops, bars and restaurants. There are sandy beaches near the town, which stretch along the Northern Brittany Coast.
Visits: the region is very touristic with many cultural and popular attractions. the most famous one is probably the Mont ST Michel.
Sailing, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing: the "Plage du Sillon" is a good spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing. There is a beach club where you can take lessons or rent material. there are also numerous possibilities to rent boats.
St Malo hosts the start or finish of prestigious open ocean sailing races, such as the Route du Rhum or the Quebec-St Malo Transat that occur every four years.
Hiking: if you like to walk, you can follow the GR34 all along the coast and you will discover numerous sandy beaches, the "rochers sculptes", Cancale, a little harbour famous for its oysters etc etc...
Golfing: the golf du Tronchet (9 and 18 holes) is about 20min drive from St malo.
Tennis: We are quite avid tennis players and go to the St Malo tennis club, which is a 5min drive from the apartment. We will be more than happy to introduce you to the coaches there and potentially organise for partners.
Food: Food is fantastic in Brittany. First, if you like cooking as we do, you will be quite happy at home in our large kitchen. There is a market 20min walk from the apartment where you will find the best seafood, vegetables etc...
In addition, there are many delicious restaurants in the area whether you want to taste crepes, seafood, French haute-cuisine, we will make you a list of our preferred places.
